In the fall of 1997, the creative minds of First Aid and Safety Patrol began to stew up the idea of a Mountain Bike Medic Team. First Aid and Safety Patrol felt that there was a need for Bike Medics in the Downtown Area during large crowd gathering events. The bicycles allow for certified Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics to quickly and swiftly respond to a call for help in a largely populated area. After completion of an International Police Mountain Bike Association program in 1998, First Aid and Safety Patrol became one of only three certified Bicycle Medic Teams in the Country. You can find our Bike Medic Team in action throughout the Lebanon Valley.
Since that time we've had team members become instructors qualified by the International Police Mountain Bike Association. This means we can help you launch your own team as well.
If you would like more information on the Bike Medic Team feel free to contact us. If you wish to schedule an appearance of the Bike Medic Team for a PR event or actual usage please contact Chief Dan Bixler at (717)-272-1234 or via email at chief@faspems.com.
