Equipment

First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon equips their ambulances and paramedic units with the most modern state-of-the-art equipment available. Consistent with our mission First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon continually reevaluates the needs of our community and weighs that need against the funding available to us and constantly strives to remain on the cutting edge of technology.

Specialized

In addition to our fleet of ambulances, paramedic units and wheel chair vans First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon possess some of the area’s most diversified and specialized equipment.

First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon operates and maintains its Extended Service Vehicle (ESV) which is used by various local, state, and federal agencies for support at incidents that may involve a commitment of a time period of more than twenty-four (24) hours.

We own and operate an Incident Support Unit (ISU). The Incident Support Unit is a fully enclosed 24 foot cargo trailer that is designed following a “Pod System”. Each Incident Support Pod is designed and constructed for a specific type of incident. As an example/s the mass casualty pod contains a large amount of spinal immobilization supplies, disposable bandaging supplies, cervical collars, and other equipment that may be needed at the scene of an emergency that may involve a large number of ill and/or injured people. The Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Pod contains a large number of MARK I Kits, Level B HAZ-MAT Suits, various antagonistic agent detection devices and various other equipment needed for patients and/or areas that may be effected by the effects of a Weapon of Mass Destruction.

First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon also utilizes a 26-foot travel trailer that is primarily deployed for our multiple day community events. The travel trailer provides our EMTS and Paramedics a moderately comfortable place to stay during their time detailed to one of these types of events. Usually deployed in conjunction with the travel trailer is our golf cart. The cart is equipped with a red light, siren, a large amount of basic and advanced life support equipment (depending on the event and the crew) and the flat bed capabilities of transporting a fully immobilized patient from the point of injury to an awaiting ambulance.
