FASP Co-sponsors Bob Page educational sessions

Date: 04/17/2007
Bob Page is coming back to South Central PA! This year, First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon has teamed up with Hanover Medic 46 of York County and the Emergency Health Services Federation to bring the nationally recognized instruction of Bob Page to South Central Pennsylvania. The South Central Pennsylvania EKG and Capnography Symposium is a region wide effort and was attended by approximately 100 providers from inside and outside the EHSF region in 2006. This year's sessions will be as follows: April 27 & 28 in Hanover at Friendship Fire Company. April 29 & 30 at Hebron Fire Hall in Lebanon. Day 1 will involve 12 lead EKG interpretation while day 2 will cover enhanced 12 lead EKG as well as waveform ETCO2 interpretation. Sessions run from 8am-4pm. $35 covers registration for both days. This is normally a $150 course. Bob is the Director of EMS Education at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Springfield, MO and is the originator of the course Multi-Lead Medics, an innovative course that brings 12 lead EKG interpretation and understanding to EMS. The 12 lead training goes much beyond simply finding the MI. A significant portion of the training is geared toward being able to anticipate the dangers that lie just around the corner for many cardiac patients and to provide treatment in the most effective manner. Bob has a teaching method that makes learning easy and fun. His mixture of comedy, unique audio-visual methods, knowledge and a genuine passion for EMS professionalism puts his courses in extremely high demand. Bob is also bringing his course "Riding the Waves of Capnography" to our area. This session unlocks the powerful potential End Tidal CO2 (ETCO2) monitoring has to impact our patient care modalities. It's not just for confirmation of ETT placement. If you would like to register for the session, please e-mail Dan Bixler, Director of Education for First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon at dbixler@faspems.com.
