Far more than a simple ambulance company In addition to responding to 911 calls for service we provide wheelchair van services, critical and speciality care transport, as well as standby coverage for public events. We provide information and education to the community and area businesses in the form of CPR instruction, first aid training, and blood pressure screenings. We provide training to clinicians with courses such as ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS. Our Bike Medics can provide increased mobility in certain situations. Our Paramedics serve as Tactical Medical Operators on the Lebanon County ESU (SWAT) Team. We assist with inoculations during public health crises. We participate in the South Central PA Task Force and deploy personnel to mass casuality incidents across the nation. Chartered on March 28, 1938 First Aid and Safety Patrol was chartered on March 28, 1938 by the dedicated volunteers of the Lebanon City Fire Department to provide care to the city fire-fighters. Our clientele quickly grew to encompass the entire community. Our organization, which started with 7 volunteers, now employs over 130 providers. A long history of continual growth, supplemented by the consolidation of several area ambulance services, has resulted in the First Aid and Safety Patrol that exists today. We provide services to over 26 different municipalities encompassing an area over 300 square miles in size. Our highly trained Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians, and Attendants use state-of-the-art equipment to bring exceptional prehospital care to your doorstep. We are committed to the continuing education of our staff, the application of progressive treatment policies and procedures, and rigorous quality assurance.
